Our regular game bag comes up short sometimes in certain situations, particularly with preserve hunters, guides and outfitters, and hunters who run into multi-species limits occasionally. We decided to expand the Standard bag in depth by 3″ and thickness by 1″. Doesn’t sound like much but it makes a big difference in volume, and also makes the bag more useable with a hydration reservoir or bottle in the game bag mesh pouch. The zipper pouch is also larger from top to bottom, and on the sides we replaced zipper pouches with Molle panels for more versatility.
The width remains the same so as to retro-fit into any prior generation vest. You won’t notice a difference when wearing either size, there’s just more capacity.
If you’re committed to hydration reservoirs, the XL bags will give you more room for birds when using reservoirs.
Be sure and include your “waist at navel” (not belt line) measurement to help determine belt lengths on each side of the game bag.
