FAQ

    Q. When can I expect my shipment to arrive?
    A. We try to ship most orders within 2 to 6 working days unless there is a supply issue. US ground shipping will be 2 to 6 business days depending on location. Faster shipping is available with USPS, FedEx and UPS at higher rates.

    Q. How much is the Shipping and Handling Charge?
    A. Currently single vest shipping is $18 for ground or US Priority Mail to the lower 48 states, and $8 on most accessory orders. Alaska and Hawaii are $30 for vest shipping. Expedited shipping must be requested and will be billed by email invoice before shipping, less the standard amount paid online.

    Q. Do you ship internationally?
    A. Yes, but other than Canada based on actual shipping costs and availability of suitable shipping options.  All int’l shipping is by USPS First Class, Priority or Express Int’l.  Currently we ship vest orders anywhere in Canada for $45, $20 for accessory orders. Please email us first on orders to other international destinations for estimated shipping charges, we will email invoice for actual charges before shipping.

    Q. What’s the best way to get something quickly for a gift, trip, or special event?
    A. If you want it fast, please call or email us about what when and where and we’ll quote you a shipping charge, or try a Gift Certificate. Next, purchase online, including the quote for shipping. We’ll do our best to meet your deadline.  We can also respond to an email or phone order with an email invoice which can be paid through PayPal.

    Q. How safe is Paypal?
    A. We’ve been doing this a few years with PayPal, and found that since Ebay purchased them most bugs have been worked out.  The system allow for refunds, partial refunds, follow-up invoicing and problem resolution. So far we’ve had no problems or issues that weren’t routine.  For international orders they handle currency issues easily and since they hold your data, ordering is less time consuming.  They are getting more politically active, so we now offer regular credit card processing with BluePay as an alternative.

    Q. What’s the best way to clean a vest?

    A.  Fabric coatings can be damaged by harsh soaps and high heat in machines.  We recommend filling a deep sink with water and some dish soap then handwashing the vest and replacing dirty water until it clears up.  When done you can run a washer on low spin cycle to eliminate most of the water, or just put it out in the sun to air dry.  Wet nylon will stretch so try not to load up a vest and wear it until thoroughly dry.
