The Crossbow is available in two frame designs, the standard Crossbow and the Crossbow Suppressor.  The Suppressor features low profile earpieces to slide easily under ear protection and radio headsets.  This configuration also seems to fit narrower head profiles a bit better, especially when using the snap-on elastic keeper.  For casual wear the Crossbow earpieces are stiffer and fit more like sport glasses.  For rigorous physical activity, we’ve found the lighter weight Suppressor style with keeper to be the most comfortable.
Both frame styles accept the same four lens color options interchangeably, Smoke Gray, Clear, Hi-Def Yellow and Hi-Def Copper and Polarized Gray (soon we’re told).
Crossbow frames are available in both Coyote Brown and Black, Suppressor only in Black.
Rx Options:  There are several Rx lens carriers that notch into the nose piece on either Crossbow style.  We recommend the “Vice” Rx insert, which can be customer ordered through this ESS website link as blanks or with your prescription included.
WW Comment:  ESS is an Idaho company and developer of state of the art eye protection for the military and shooting sports.  Their lenses are legendary for turning away shot and bullets (see YouTube videos).  The Crossbow is their latest and most popular product, for its’ versatility and fit and wide range of other unique lens characteristics.  We used both styles this past winter and was very impressed with the anti-fog lens feature combined with the snug fit of the Crossbow Supressor.  The Suppressor used with the retention strap seem to fit narrow faces better.  In extreme conditions condensation may form on the lens that is easy to see through, but not fog.
